Part 2

I would definitely recommend this book if you are in to a thriller.  This book has all sorts of parts where they make you want to read so fast and just finish the part.  They are running and trying to get away. They are trying to find a safe place that they can hide.

This is book where i couldn't stop reading. It made my heart race in the parts and it made me worry.  When i would have to go do something i would just want to come back and finish the book. This book does have some disturbing moments that you might want to be aware of.

Something that has bothered me is that they don't ever mention names. I would love to just learn their names.  But it also does have a lot of meaning and makes me think about what if i replaced myself, with these characters. And if it were just my dad and I would he protect me like the dad does for his son in this book.

Part 3

The man in the book whose name is never mentioned went into a house trying to find food.  As he was in there going through every drawer and finding food and he looked upon the stove and found something cooking.  He walked through the house more and found some clothes for him and his son. His son so scared not wanting to be there and asking his father if they can leave.  His father doesn't acknowledge his son and keeps searching.  They come across a locked door almost like a bomb shelter and it is locked up very tight.  As his son begs him not to touch not to open the man opens it.  As they open it the man hears screams and yelps for help.  The man hurry and grabs his son and he knows if they stay much longer they will not be leaving.  The grabs his sons arm so tight and they run as fast as they can go.  The boy sees some people walking towards the house and he becomes sick because he is so frightened.  The man so sick he can barley walk and can't control his coughing does everything he can to get his boy away from there.  The boy can't run anymore and man feels as if he is going to die he picks up his son and runs. He goes into the woods so that they can't be seen and he lets his son sleep.  Than he runs to a barn and he finds some apples in an orchard and picks them up for his son.

Part One

As he wakes up he looks at who is laying next to him, his son.  It is now day and he can now be seen from the road.  The starts to pull out his food and lays down a tarp for them to use as table.  As his son wakes up he says "I'm here" as if something could have happened to him.  He makes sure his son eats and they are off.  That is a summary of the first page of the book.  As you start to think about this the book is has started to make me think of my own father and see how he would react if this were too happen to us.


When I'm reading this book I start to see how caring the father is to his son and I soon to hope that I can be as thoughtful as him when I become a parent.  It just really shows how good of dad he is and that he in this entire book is trying to keep his son alive and hope to see him live on with his life away from all the chaos that has been going on with their world lately.

If I were to be a character in this book as a teenager I would sure not want to become cannibalism, and start to eat other people.  I would to see myself wanting to survive doing everything I could to get away to a new area where I could maybe be safe.  I would hope that people would not fear that I were trying to kill them. And I would sure hope that I would not be alone because I don't know what I would do alone if that was going on.
